Winners of Lavender Lovers
Contest
There were
three winners from our “Lavender Lover” contest where
all Lavender Enthusiasts were invited to send in their stories
related to their favorite AKL inspired products. There were many
stories entered, some funny; many heart warming, ALL wonderful!
It was very difficult to just choose one. Thank you to all who
took the time to send in their stories and photos. The writer
of the top story will receive a $100 certificate to use at the
AKL online store and two honorable mention winners that will received

Two years ago my husband and I visited Maui and your farm. While
there, among other things, my husband picked up a few bottles
of Lavender dog shampoo knowing how my favorite scent is Lavender.
Well, About three weeks after we returned home we found out I
was pregnant with twins. (We had tried for 4 years) Unfortunately,
I had awful morning sickness and lost a lot of weight jeopardizing
my already

delicate pregnancy. We lost one fetus
at 3 months but carried the other to term. Her name is Malia, Hawaiian
for calm and serene. She is now 6 months old. While morning sick
I could not be around any smells good or bad, except lavender. So
everything in our home got "scented" including the dog.
So over the course of my pregnancy Mulligan, our white Golden Retriever,
got a twice-weekly lavender bath with your lavender pet wash. It
was the only way I could be with him. On that note, my husband used
the Lavender spritzer and smelled quite niceJ Now that the pregnancy
and morning sickness is over we still enjoy the scent of lavender
in our home and food. We love your products and even if our story

I live in Austin, Texas and recently had bone and tendon surgery
on my ankle and heel in March. At the time, I had just come out
of a wheelchair and walker and was using a cane and a knee high
orthopedic boot to be able to walk. My daughter who is a massage
therapist and lives on Maui, Stacy Dalton, offered to massage
my leg and foot to loosen up the sore muscles. She had taken me
to AKL (on Maui) twice and we felt the healing of the mountain

my leg and foot that evening. She used the Lavender Gardener lotion
for her massage and honestly, I was able to walk without my knee
high orthopedic boot. She repeated the massage with the lavender
lotion a few days while I was visiting. By the time I returned to
Texas to see my Orthopedic surgeon, he said I was a month ahead
of schedule as far as healing. He was astonished. Now every time
I open the bottle of lotion or spray, it takes me back to the mountainside,
in a purple chair, drifting away in my thoughts in a calm and healing

I have been a life long lover of lavender so when I had the opportunity
to visit you in Feb, and take your tour with Cookie I was so excited!
I treasure my pictures of the fields, with lovely ribbons of fog
rolling gently over fields and fields of the most gorgeous lavender
I had ever seen. Truly, it was one of those experiences you never
