NOTE: I am rating the OLD Formula!!! We come to Hawaii every few years and when we last came in 2012,I stocked up on this seasoning (old formula - in the metal tin) by buying three (3) of them. We use it on nearly everything we eat! We have used up one container already and yet, we still have half a container left from our second tin. I actually sold one tin because someone who did not get their order in timely begged me for it. SHAME ON YOU For breaking something that was NOT BROKEN!!! You need to consider changing it back or at least offering your customers a choice of both seasonings. Also, I hate the pouch - BRING BACK THE TIN!!! I used my first empty tin to hold my keepsakes from my first Hawaiian trip and I loved the logo on it. The tin also stacks well in the cupboard. Pouches don't stack. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!

My best friend and I came to the lavender farm in July of 2013. We were on a tight budget, so we purchased one bag of lavender seasoning and split it. I use the seasoning sparingly on cottage cheese, popcorn and fresh vegetables as I want to make it last. It is over a year later and I still have a bit left of my half package. Old formula. New formula. I don't know anything about that. All I know is that I LOVE this seasoning and will be ordering some more very soon. Takes me back to Maui, a wonderful place, family and friends. Aloha!

Adding my voice to the appreciators of the old recipe in the tin -- that was fantastic and I'm disappointed to see that you've changed it. Don't think I'll be trying the new one. Please being back the old recipe!!

I just tried the "old" recipe because my daughter had some in her cupboard. The "old recipe is great!! When I went to look it up to buy some because it was so good I found many reviews saying the recipe had changed - no thanks - I won't buy it now.

I just got it this year and my family and I lave it on breaded or plain with some olive oil chicken thighs, pankoed pork chops and even steak! We are hooked thanks so much!

We bought this seasoning during our visit to the farm last week, and used it while in Maui on grilled fish and on lamb. It was simply amazing on both. It has a distinctive lavendar flavor with a little bit of a smoky kick! A real treat that our whole family (including three kids) enjoyed.

I am so unhappy to hear that you have changed the formula for the lavender seasoning. I love the old recipe and had been planning to buy several as Christmas gifts but now after hearing the comments about the new I won't be doing so. Too bad that a success breeds poor marketing and product decisions.

I've seen many comments referencing the new and old formulas. My mother purchased the seasoning for me during our trip to Maui last May (2012). I loved it. We both have used it (in spaghetti sauce and on steaks and chicken). I thought it gave a particularly great taste on steaks. I also shared some with one of my friends who used it in her normal fried chicken recipe and the taste was positively noticed! She just asked about the name of the seasoning and plans to order-- which reminded me to order also.... glad to see that we can order online.

BAD FOR BAD IDEA! Why do people mess with a good thing?? The old recipe was loved by our whole family. I noticed the packaging was different and looked at ingredients and saw you changed things. WHY?? It obviously was selling. Did you think you could make more going the cheap route? Did a big company buy you and now are tying to make more of a profit?? Fire the people who did this--they are fools! good bye forever--you lost a good four year old customer!
