Traditionally-Hawaiian, Red Alae Sea Salt is smooth-tasting and acquired through natural evaporation of sea water. It contains Iron-Oxide (a digestible iron from volcanic red clay), has a high trace mineral content, and contains 20% less sodium than table salt. 

The Macademia Nut contains no cholesteral and is a high-energy, high-fiber food that is rich in monounsaturated fats (good fats).

How to apply to lifestyle:  Lightly sprinkle and rub over poultry, fish, lamb, beef, Tofu, 'Kalua Pig' (a Hawaiian favorite), and vegetables. Enhance sauces, soups, stews, and salads.

Tips:  Ideally allow meats to marinate with this herb rub for up to one day in refrigerator before cooking.  

Excellent on baked or roasted chicken or turkey which can also be pulled and served chilled over fresh green salads. Sprinkle over baked potatoes and on roasted or grilled root vegetables.

You changed your recipe, and not for the better. You also replaced the charming tin with a worthless zip-top bag and lowered the size by half an ounce. The new blend is too spicy, uses macadamia instead of kikui nuts, has a different blend of herbs, and bears no resemblance at all to the former one. I won't be buying this new blend again. I am desolate! The old recipe was THE BEST blend ever, and I used it on everything. Keep the new recipe, if others like it, but PLEASE, PLEASE bring back the old formula, as well! Thanks for listening!

I love this seasoning. It has been an essential part of my christmas bird recipe for years now. I put it in the brine, and then also add it as a rub before roasting.

This is so fabulous. We especially love it as a marinade rub on a pork loins. We were just in Maui and disappointed to not be able to restock our supply, but am delighted that is available again now. Would be better with less salt in the mix...but we just don't add salt later so it becomes perfect. Great with fresh corn, stripped back, olive oil, the AKL seasoning...pull the leaves back up and BBQ...fabulous!
