I'm rating this a 1 just because I want to express my disappointment that you changed the recipe. I have used many cans since visiting the farm in 2009. I will NOT order any more based upon reviews of your new recipe. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK and let us know when you do. It WAS my absolute "go to" spice (especially good on fillet mignon!)

Delicious!!!! Never tried the "old" recipe that so many seem to miss, but I don't know or care what I'm missing - this mix is FABULOUS. I live in Massachusetts and purchased some when I visited your farm on a trip to Maui... on your site ordering some for all of my family members because this is TOO GOOD to miss!

My son and I were on vacation last year and bought some of the seasoning. I am not aware of any "old" flavor, but absolutely love this one. So much so, that I ordered 4 for Christmas presents. I love this on fish, chicken, pork chops and my husband put it on our turkey for Thanksgiving.

My husband and I started using the "old" recipe lavender seasoning back in 2009. We were in love! We used the old seasoning on EVERYTHING and bought multiple tins for us and friends every time we were in Maui. Then.....you changed the recipe. After the first bag of the "new" seasoning recipe we never bought another bag. We will not purchase another seasoning unless you bring the "old" recipe back. It has an unusual perfume taste. Not sure what was changed but it was very significant. Even the grocery store that we had bought several tins of the "old" recipe from in Maui told us that it was not good enough to carry in their store anymore. That is saying a lot. PLEASE BRING BACK THE "OLD" LAVENDER SEASONING RECIPE! You did an AMAZING job the first time. And it is obvious multiple people have noticed.

When we were in Hawaii and went to the Farm I bought the Gourmet Seasoning that came in small cans. I loved it and I ordered six cans after I ran out of the ones I picked up at the farm. I sent for the more since you changed to the bags of the seasoning and I will not order any more. It does taste anything like the original seasoning. I would not recommend it to anyone. If you go back to the old mix I would be happy to buy it.

All of matter of perspective people. A friend introducrd this to myself in the tin. Then I received a pouch. Not much detectable difference. Very unique upscale gourmet palet nit for everyone but Ive yet to find someone who doesnt like it. Everyone lives my secret recipie brisket (woops secret no more eigh) makes an awesome rub. Also use it on white fish, in smashed potatoes, & sprinkke it on fresh veggies. Makes an awesome flavoured dip in yogurt too. Sooooo many uses. Bout the only thing nit to use it on is icecream ha ha. the "change" in recipie was welcome and I felt did not impact the unique flavour in fact the new recipie mixes easier (texture wise) as its a less corse salt and the substituted nut blends better to tie all the spices together. Got that fkat rate special shipping so I ordered 4 pouches to stock up. I personslly like the pouches for gift giving & theyre lighter weight. I do keep my spice in a special glass container with an old label from the tin though. Cudos to the entire staff & super customer service (something difficult to find today)! Its made with pride & care & shows. Sign up for their newsletters & get specials you cant get anywhere else. Quite pleased & so are my friends here in GA that I share with! Blessings all.

So disappointed. Just watched Bizarre Foods and came on right away to order. Everyone said your recipe has changed. Oh well! Guess I won't be buying. You have disappointed many of your customers. That is a shame!

NOTE: I am rating the OLD Formula!!! We come to Hawaii every few years and when we last came in 2012,I stocked up on this seasoning (old formula - in the metal tin) by buying three (3) of them. We use it on nearly everything we eat! We have used up one container already and yet, we still have half a container left from our second tin. I actually sold one tin because someone who did not get their order in timely begged me for it. SHAME ON YOU For breaking something that was NOT BROKEN!!! You need to consider changing it back or at least offering your customers a choice of both seasonings. Also, I hate the pouch - BRING BACK THE TIN!!! I used my first empty tin to hold my keepsakes from my first Hawaiian trip and I loved the logo on it. The tin also stacks well in the cupboard. Pouches don't stack. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!

My best friend and I came to the lavender farm in July of 2013. We were on a tight budget, so we purchased one bag of lavender seasoning and split it. I use the seasoning sparingly on cottage cheese, popcorn and fresh vegetables as I want to make it last. It is over a year later and I still have a bit left of my half package. Old formula. New formula. I don't know anything about that. All I know is that I LOVE this seasoning and will be ordering some more very soon. Takes me back to Maui, a wonderful place, family and friends. Aloha!
