There are so many creative ways to use Lavender Essential Oil and benefit from its amazing properties. Below we list some of these great uses for Lavender Oil so that you can enjoy the benefits of this essential oil in your life!

Place a drop on each temple and on your chest to impart a long-lasting aura of its calming scent.

Add a few drops onto your pillow to aid in inducing sound sleep.

Add a few drops of Lavender oil to a wet cloth and include it in the dryer to freshen your laundry.

Add a drop or two of Lavender Essential Oil to your iron to freshen clothing.

Add a drop or two of Lavender Oil to lemonades and teas

Apply Lavender Oil to commonly handled items in your home such as phones or remote controls to disinfect them

Apply topically to cuts, grazes, insect bites and stings, and to minor burns to promote rapid healing and to minimize inflammation and infection.

Add 3-4 drops to an aromatherapy burner for an aromatherapeutic effect.

Lavender Essential Oil may be inhaled as a decongestant or applied to the upper lip just under the nose to help ward against contracting bacteria that could lead to colds and flus.

Add a few drops of Lavender Essential Oil to your tissuesor handkerchief as a method of soothing a sore or lips and bring relief to cold and flu symptoms.

Also to treat cold and flu symptoms add 5 - 10 drops of Lavender Oil to a large bowl of steaming water. Lean over the bowl, place a towel over your head, and breathe in the lavender vapor. Keep your eyes closed and breathe deeply for a few minutes.

Massage into the undersides of feet to promote relaxation and into the scalp to condition scalp and hair.

Add 5 - 10 drops Lavender Oil to your bath water. Add the essential oil to a capful of milk or Epsom salts and then add to your bath. This will disperse the oils through out the bath water.

When showering add 2 - 4 drops Lavender oil onto your head. Stand under running water and allow oils to rinse it off. Be sure to breathe in the vapours as you shower! You can also add the lavender oil to your favorite shampoo

Add Lavender Essential Oil to your massage oil when giving or receiving a massage. It's a fantastic way to deal with sore muscles and joints.

To help tired, sore, or dry hands and feet, add 4 - 8 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to a bowl and soak your hands or feet for ten to fifteen minutes

Add a few drops to your favorite skin lotion to help with dry skin.

Add Lavender Oil to your cold compress. It's good for the forehead when suffering a fever and for muscle and joint pain. Add 5 - 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to a bowl of water and soak a cloth then gently wring out the excess water and apply the damp compress to the affected area.

To treat minor burns, run affected area under cold water for at least ten minutes and then apply a few drops of Lavender Essential Oil. This also works to soothe sunburn!

Place a drop or two of Lavender Essential Oil on a band-aid before applying it to the skin to help prevent infections and avoid scarring.

A few drops of warmed Lavender Oil can be applied to the ear and throat are to help with an earache.

Make your own Lavender Carpet Cleaner!

Mix together 5-6 drops of lavender essential oil to 1 cup baking soda. Sprinkle this on the carpet an hour before vacuuming.

Vacuum as normal and enjoy the fresh scent of lavender that will sweetly linger in your household.
