The Maui Cookie Lady's Favorite Lavender Sugar Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • · 1 cup of white sugar
  • · 2 tablespoons of culinary lavender

Instructions
 

  • Combine/whisk the lavender culinary buds with the sugar in a bowl.
  • After combined put in a air tight jar or Tupperware container for the lavender to infuse with the sugar for a week preferably or at least 48 hours. Keep container out of direct sunlight.
  • Slowly pour sugar in a sifter and sift to catch the buds to separate.
  • The sifted sugar is ready to eat.

Notes

This is the preferred method used by The Maui Cookie lady and provides a more subtle flavor.
