Kula Calm Tea – Recipes

Honey Heat

There’s something about a warm cup of calming tea. The aromatic benefits of herbal lavender, spearmint, chamomile and lemongrass seem heightened by the heat.  The ritual of letting it steep until its sip-able. For optimum flavor, steep tea about four to five minutes and then remove tea bag. If you are feeling sweet, grab your favorite honey (ours is Lavender Honey) and let it gently drip in and dissolve. Give it a loving stir. Find a cozy spot and enjoy.

Kula Calm and Chill

For a quicker iced calming tea fix, you would steep as indicated in Honey Heat and serve over ice.
Grandma always said, the best tea has a kiss of the sun. Fill a glass jar with water and add the appropriate amount of tea bags (one tea bag should be suitable for a pint or less, two tea bags or more for a gallon) find a sunny spot that’s also safe for a glass jar to remain undisturbed. Watch the magic as the tea steeps naturally, changing colors as it transforms from water into tea. Remove tea bags and refrigerate for two hours until chilled. For that summer tea touch you can add honey, sugar or a squeeze of lemon.

Adults Only Calming Tea

Follow either of the preparation instructions above.
To two cups of tea, add juice of 1/2 a lemon, 1 scoop of sugar or a swirl of lavender, to taste. Add 1 ounce of vodka (might we suggest our neighborhood distillery, Ocean Vodka) and serve over ice.
